Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Podcast Coordinator on a true crime podcast for an Emmy-nominated production company. This role is essential in supporting the production of a high-quality podcast by managing various logistical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in research, fact-checking, coordinating recordings, and budget management, with a strong ability to work under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research:
- Conduct thorough research on podcast material.
- Prepare briefing documents for the producer and host.
- Fact-Checking:
- Verify the accuracy of facts, statistics, and statements mentioned during the podcast.
- Cross-check information with reliable sources to ensure the podcast’s content is credible and trustworthy.
- Checking editing of tapes for due diligence.
- Arranging Recordings:
- Coordinate scheduling for podcast recordings with host and technical staff.
- Manage logistics for remote and in-person recordings, including booking studio time, arranging travel (if necessary), and ensuring all necessary equipment is set up and functioning.
- Supporting the Producer:
- Assist the producer in the overall management of the podcast production process.
- Handle administrative tasks such as organising files, maintaining production schedules, and managing communication with stakeholders.
- Managing Budget:
- Track and manage the podcast production budget, ensuring that expenses are within allocated limits.
- Prepare budget reports and updates for the producer and other relevant team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in podcast production or a related field.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with podcasting tools and software (Descript, Riverside, Adobe Audition) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This is a temporary position, expected to involve approximately 15 days across 6 months.
- The role may require flexible working hours to accommodate recording schedules and deadlines.
- Remote working, in person meetings in Central London.
