We’re looking for a qualified Journalist to help prepare and present news stories to share with our listeners in the Port Lincoln and Port Augusta regions in South Australia, as part of ARN’s Local News First initiative.
About The Role:
- Write, edit and present high quality news for our Port Lincoln and Port Augusta listeners.
- Conduct and edit interviews for inclusion in local news bulletins.
- Collaborate with other regional South Australian journalists to assist with story and bulletin production, as well as digital news content
- Write, edit and publish news stories for the station websites.
- Report from the field and attend media conferences, doorstops, police incidents and other news events as required.
About You:
- Strong on-air presentation and writing skills.
- Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.
- Understanding of the law as it relates to media, particularly in the areas of Defamation and Contempt of Court.
- A passion for news and a workable understanding of sport.
