We are seeking a talented Associate Producer to join our dynamic team at The Mel Robbins Podcast. This person will play an important role in the creation of captivating content that inspires and motivates millions of people around the world. As Associate Producer, you will be a key member of our podcast production team, assisting with various tasks throughout the production cycle—from research, to development, screenings, and supporting promotional needs. You’ll work closely with Producers to research and write episodes and social media content. The ideal candidate has production experience, strong writing skills, a desire for learning and growth, and is a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborate closely with members of the Production team on several aspects of creating podcast episodes, across pre-production, production, and post-production. Pre-production responsibilities: Guest and topic research Work with producers to develop interview questions and scripts Social media video production: ideation and scripting Guest relations: outreach, booking & interview coordination Production responsibilities: Produce and capture 2-3 social media videos per episode Assist with studio guest relations Attend episode tapings and take production notes Post-production responsibilities: Initial episode screening Episode title research and drafting Episode promotional copywriting – including but not limited to drafting episode description copy Playing a core role in the creation and distribution of newsletters to promote episodes, including helping with newsletter copy and preparation
Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in audio or video production, podcasting, or a related field. Strong writing, scripting, grammar, and communication skills – a core part of this job will involve writing. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A go-getter with a can-do, solutions-driven work ethic. Comfortable in a fast paced, technology driven production environment. Fast learner and tech savvy with an ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on the fly, including learning technology platforms including Webflow, Descript, and CustomerIO. Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. A strong interest in social media content creation, with a proven ability to script and create promotional videos that incorporate social media trends and increase engagement and listenership in the podcast. A passion for personal growth and the topics shared on The Mel Robbins Podcast – you believe in the work and are motivated by the difference you’re making in people’s lives. A team player who wants to be part of making the company better as a whole. Familiarity with Google Suite. Able to travel to our Vermont studios for production roughly once per month and has a valid Driver’s License. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Based in Boston, MA as this is a hybrid role.
