Greenpeace UK, in collaboration with Crowd Network, has officially launched the second season of Oceans: Life Under Water, an award-winning podcast series dedicated to the beauty and challenges facing our oceans.

Following the success of the first season, which won the Bronze Climate Award at the 2024 British Podcast Awards and secured a nomination in the Listener’s Choice category, the much-anticipated second installment promises a deeper dive into marine ecosystems, conservation efforts, and pressing environmental threats.
12 New Episodes Exploring the Marvels and Perils of the Ocean
The second season consists of 12 meticulously crafted episodes that explore the awe-inspiring wonders of marine life while shedding light on critical issues threatening our oceans. Topics covered include:
- The Splendor of Marine Life – Discover vibrant coral reefs, playful dolphins, ancient turtles, and other oceanic species.
- The Growing Threats – Examine the dangers of deep-sea mining, overfishing, and climate-induced damage to marine habitats.
- Expedition to the Arctic Circle – Experience firsthand Greenpeace’s latest scientific expedition aboard the iconic Arctic Sunrise, where experts gathered crucial data to strengthen the fight against deep-sea mining in the region.
Captivating Storytelling from the Heart of the Ocean
The podcast series was recorded across multiple global locations, including the Arctic Circle, allowing listeners to experience raw and authentic stories from the frontlines of ocean conservation. Notably, the Greenpeace team projected the podcast’s logo onto an iceberg as a powerful visual statement against environmental destruction.
Returning as the host is esteemed wildlife filmmaker, zoologist, and broadcaster Hannah Stitfall, whose engaging storytelling brings marine conservation to life for listeners worldwide.
‘Oceans Are Life’ – A Call to Protect 30% of the World’s Oceans
The Oceans: Life Under Water podcast is a crucial part of Greenpeace UK’s “Oceans Are Life” campaign, an initiative advocating for the protection of at least 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030 and the prohibition of deep-sea mining.
Crowd Network and Greenpeace’s Expanding Partnership
This collaboration further solidifies the longstanding relationship between Crowd Network and Greenpeace. Apart from the Oceans podcast, the two organizations have worked together on SystemShift, a Greenpeace International podcast that has successfully completed two series.
